Cuitlahuac Gonzalez, better known as Cuit or @MrCuit around the web, is an industry-recognized social media strategist with over 12 years of experience. Best known for his visionary approach and passion for personalized storytelling, Cuit operates MRCUIT, LLC, a forward-thinking digital consulting business serving clients in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle sectors with brand cultivation through digital public relations, social media content alignment, influencer relations and other brand partnership services.
Cuit currently serves as VP or PR and Digital at Skin Inc, an Asian skincare brand with global recognition for its custom beauty solutions and tech-first approach to skincare. Previous to that, Cuit served fashion clients such as Elizabeth & James, Alice & Olivia, Under Armour, Madewell, Forever 21, Barry’s Bootcamp and many more as Director of Digital at The A List, a Beverly Hills-based influencer marketing agency and showroom specializing in talent and influencer procurement, as well as event creation and product placement.
Prior to The A List, he led digital strategy efforts, social media content management and influencer relations for global fashion brands BCBGMAXAZRIA and Herve Leger. Since 2011, he worked closely with chief creative officer, Lubov Azria, on the development of the brand’s online communities and execution of the creative through innovative social media campaigns that have been highlighted in Women’s Wear Daily and other industry publications.
Before BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, Cuit spent some time in London at Picnic Productions, where he worked on the production of photo shoots and media events for fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo and Rodarte, among others. Cuit started his career in communications working in-house at American Apparel handling media relations and overseeing the community relations department, and was part of an early think-tank for social media projects in the early 2000s.
He received a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations from California State University, Northridge, and a master’s degree in strategic public relations with an emphasis in digital media from the University of Southern California. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
